Bistro Live, Rain or Shine!

It's that time of year again when April showers are approaching, but there's never a dim moment here :)
However, lets not talk about the glum weather because... Summer is on it's way!!!
For me when I think of summer, I think of dresses, cocktails and a lot of fun... Hmmm.. Sounds like Bistro Live!
For any of you who are sorting our those summer hen nights what more could you ask for? People waiting on you all night, a fresh 3-course meal, cocktails, decorations galore and dancing the whole night away.
Becki from Saturday night certainly had something to say about her hen night, ''Was such good fun, we are all talking about the next occasion we can come for!!!''
So come and treat yourself and have the hen night to remember just like Becki :)
See you all soon!

So... It's almost Christmas and as much as you are all probably planning your presents and wondering when you are putting your tree up- Don't forget about your hen night!

After doing a wedding fayre last weekend at the Hind Hotel it made me realise that it's your last night of freedom so why leave it until last minute? We have had plenty of hens calling in the past few weeks- the office has been going mad with lots of brochure and plans for next year so lets get it moving!

We already have over 100 different hen parties booking within the first few months next year, so I think we should double it! Forget about treating everyone else... A hen night is the start of forever for you so make sure you do all you want to and start planning now!

Hen Season is in Full Swing!

So we are mid-way through our hen season at Bistro Live and the glum weather here is NOT stopping us this weekend!

With 44 hen parties walking through our doors this weekend we have our chef's slaving away and pink hen decorations coming from every direction.

It's obvious we have got it down to a T, just look what one of our hens said from last week!

''Hi my name is Emma Cooper and I just wanted to thank everyone at bistro live for a fantastic hen weekend this past weekend.
Everything About the package was amazing and you looked after us so well from start to finish, nothing was to much and everything was made so easy.
The Hilton hotel really looked after us as a group and the facilities and rooms were just what we expected and more.
We had an amazing evening at Bistro and wanted to congratulate all the staff/ chefs and the band for being such a well oiled machine making everything run so smoothly.
Again thank you so much for making my hen party such an amazing and memorable experience and well done to you all.''
Emma Cooper

It's safe to say an enjoyable weekend will be had by all and we will look forward to seeing everyone again soon.

As Promised... Advice From The Bride Herself!

After a lovely couple of weeks off, it’s great to be back in the office re-living the beautiful day we had on 13th July, looking through the photos and eating all the left over chocolate favours!

Obviously after working at Bistro Live for nearly three years, I’ve spoken to hundreds of brides to be and heard all sorts of stories about how hard it can be to organise a wedding but I don’t think I realised what it was really like until it was my turn!

It didn’t take me long to think of five pieces of advice that I wish someone had given to me.
Even though everyone’s big day is different and personal to them, these are just some of the tips that I think are relevant no matter what you’re arranging from a fairytale wedding in a grand castle to eloping to Las Vegas. The best kind of wedding is a stress free (as much as possible) wedding!

1)     Recommendations. These are in-valuable. The best people to know if a photographer or florists are really any good are the people who have used them themselves. If you don’t know anyone who has booked them directly, online reviews are also helpful – definitely do your research and ask any questions you feel are important, the customer is always right!
2)     Ebay. This was really useful for our Alice in Wonderland theme as there are thousands of suppliers on Ebay running small business and offering all the little bits and bobs that give your day that extra special touch at much lower costs than in the shops. This is especially useful if you’re like me and no good at making things yourself!
3)     Favours. and not the sugar almond kind! We were lucky enough to have a huge support network of very talented friends and family who all pitched in to help us. My new sister in law is a makeup artist and very kindly made sure I looked my best all day. Don’t be shy to ask people to help out any way they can, if you do feel a bit cheeky you can always suggest that it can be their wedding present to you both.
4)     Prioritise. Most couples are working within some kind of a budget so before you start booking and buying everything, sit down together and work out what’s most important to you. If you really want chair covers but having them would come at the cost of not having a photographer – are they really worth it?
5)     Most importantly…Learn to let go! A few days before the wedding I took the attitude that if anything went wrong, there wouldn’t be much I could do about it so the way I was going to enjoy the experience the most was to relax and accept that what will be will be!

I hope there’s something in here that’s useful for everyone and I wish all our gorgeous hens and blushing brides their very own perfect wedding day!

Bistro Live has got WEDDING FEVER!

Here at the Bistro Live office, we have got even more wedding fever than usual this week as one of our lovely office team got married on Saturday!

Our lovely Sukie tied the knot on Saturday morning at The Guildhall in Leicester!

Of course, it was very fortunate that it turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far reaching a scorching 32C!

Sukie's absolutely loves Alice in Wonderland (Gary even proposed to her outside the Alice in Wonderland statue in Paris!) so they chose their theming accordingly. Thankfully nobody was asked to dress up and the theming was based around the centre pieces, the cake and other delightful little touches like the invitations!
It's very safe to say, one of the main talking points of the day (other than how stunning Sukie looked of course) was the CAKE! Themed to absolute perfection, Theresa (from Theresa's Treasures) made the wedding cake completely unique and left guests in utter amazement. Trust me when I say, if you want a cake for any occasion - Theresa is person you need to get in touch with! Click here to go to her Facebook page!

Sukie's not back in the office until next week but when she's back, she is going to blog what she thinks are the top 5 things you simply can't miss out of your big day!
